Welcome to the Jamaica Plain Youth Soccer website. JPYS provides a safe and sportsmanlike atmosphere for the youth of Jamaica Plain, Roslindale and surrounding Boston neighborhoods to have fun while learning and participating in the game of soccer. The success of JPYS depends upon the collective efforts and cooperation of ALL participants.
JPYS Programs include
- JP Academy which provides younger players (1st through 4th grades) the opportunity to develop their skills while having fun under the guidance of professional soccer coaches. Players 3.5 to 6.5 years old should checkout JP Children's Soccer. For questions about the JP Academy contact the
- Travel Program for players from 9 to 18 years old. Players are assigned to teams according to gender, age, and ability and play games against other towns. For questions about the Girls Travel program, contact

U9 born between 8/1/2004 and 7/31/2005 (+ 3rd grade born in Aug 2005)
U10 born between 8/1/2003 and 7/31/2004 (+ 4th grade born in Aug 2004)
The U9 and U10 travel teams are part of the U10 academy.
Register for the U10 academy and chose the travel game option
U11 born between 8/1/2002 and 7/31/2003 (+ 5th grade born in Aug 2003)
U12 born between 8/1/2001 and 7/31/2002 (+ 6th grade born in Aug 2002)
U14 born between 8/1/1999 and 7/31/2001 (+ 7th grade born in Aug 2001)

posted 05/26/2013 The Boston Breakers of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) are offering a special promotion for Jamaica Plain Youth Soccer. JPYS players and their families will be able to attend the Breakers' June 30th game at 6:30 p.m. vs. the Sky Blue FC for $10 per ticket. The Breakers play at Dilboy Memorial Stadium in Somerville.
JPYS is encouraging families to take advantage of this opportunity to see professional women's soccer at the highest level!
To purchase tickets, go to www.breakerstickets.com and click the June 30 th date. Select the amount of tickets you would like (to use the code you must choose the adult ticket option). Once you click “add to order”, an “enter promo code” box will appear; JPYS families should type in “JPYS13”. After typing in JPYS13, click apply and then click checkout. GIRLS TRAVEL REGISTRATION
After June 1st, on-line Registration will be open for Girls Travel (U14, U12 / U11, and U10 / U9 age groups) for the Fall 2013 & Spring 2014 seasons.
GIRLS U12 & U11 PLACEMENTS
JPYS will be holding Placements specifically for the U12 / U11 girls travel teams (Date of birth between 9/1/2001 and 8/31/2003) for the Fall 2013 season as follows:
- Wednesday, May 29th, 6:00 pm, Pagel Field
- Tuesday, June 4th, 6:00 pm, Pagel Field
Existing JPYS players AND new players should attend AT LEAST ONE session. Players should come prepared to play: soccer shoes/cleats, shinguards & water.
The purpose of the Placements is for us to evaluate the players in the event that we are able to field more than one team in a particular age division. In those cases, we generally will place girls on teams based on ability.
GIRLS U14 and U10 / U9 PLACEMENTS
No Placements are scheduled for these age groups. Please register on-line.

posted 03/18/2013 The Jamaica Plain Soccer Academy is the recreational soccer division of Jamaica Plain Youth Soccer. It strives to develop passionate and skilled soccer players by offering an inclusive, fun- first program focused on soccer education for boys and girls, ages 7-10 (first through 4th grades). The Academy was established to advocate the enjoyment of soccer and the patient development of fundamental skills.

The JPYS U8 and U10 Academy season begins the week of Monday, April 8 and ending with the Jamboree on Sunday, June 16. The practice sessions will be at English High School Field from 6:00 to 7:00. The U8 program (grades 1 and 2) will practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The U10 program (grades 3 and 4) will practice on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
Academy games will be at Pagel Field on Hyde Park Avenue on Sunday afternoons beginning April 14. The U8 Academy program will play games between 1:00 and 2:00. The U10 Academy program will play games between 2:30 and 3:30.
